The AI Railway Computer RS A2 is based on an NVIDIA Jetson TX2 module. The box PC for transportation and railroad applications is shipped with a pre-installed NVIDIA Jetpack SDK (Software Development Kit) including the Linux operating system (L4T).
The AI Railway Computer RS A2 is designed for use in railway or low-floor vehicles such as busses and trams. It meets high requirements for shock and vibration. In addition, the railway computer is designed for the extended temperature range of -40 to +70 degrees. It meets the railroad standard EN50155, class OT4. For use in rail vehicles, the rolling stock computer has a galvanically isolated power supply and the electronic components are protected against condensation with conformal coating.
The NVIDIA Jetson-based rail computer is used by rolling stock manufacturers and rail operators alike. Typical applications include semi-autonomous driving, DAS (driver advisory systems), RCS (rail control systems), real-time passenger information systems (RTPI), and condition-based monitoring.
